Cr Tanya Kehoe, Pyrenees Shire Mayor
Cr Tanya Kehoe was elected Pyrenees Shire Council Mayor in November 2024. She is a lifelong resident of Mount Emu and Snake Valley in western Victoria. Cr Kehoe’s professional experience spans primary, secondary and tertiary level teaching, and she currently works at the Australian Catholic University (ACU). Her career has also included pastoral care, and she continues to manage a sheep property with her husband. Cr Kehoe’s priorities include advocating for the continued development of Snake Valley, improving trunk infrastructure such as roads and essential services, and ensuring local facilities meet community needs. She is especially passionate about supporting young people, farmers and small businesses to recognise their critical role in the region's resilience and success. Cr Kehoe is committed to advancing policies that enhance quality of life while preserving the area’s rural character. She is a committee member of Rural Councils Victoria.
